Events
Brain Injury Awareness Week (BIAW). August 13 - 19, 2012.
BIAW occurs annually in August, and involves events throughout Victoria to raise awareness in the community about ABI. This website and the ABI Project will have more information about events as the date draws closer.
7th World Congress for Neurorehabilitation May 16 - 19, 2012.
The 7th World Congress for NeuroRehabilitation will be a major event in Melbourne from 16-19 May 2012. The Congress will be held in conjunction with the 35th Annual Brain Impairment Congress for the Australian Society for the Study of Brain Impairment and the 20th ASM of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (RACP). Over 1500 delegates are expected to attend.

Kids
The Statewide ABI Paediatric Coordinators assist people working and living with children and young people with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). The services offered include; provision of information, training, mentoring, support, resources and community liaison/development. If you are living or working with children and young people with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI),they can support you.
VPRS aims to provide all Victorian children who require specialist rehabilitation the ability to access the services that they need, when they need it and in the most appropriate location, no matter where the family lives.

Families
The Bouverie Centre's ABI team provides a state-wide specialist services to families and professionals dealing with Acquired Brain Injury resulting from situations such as accidents or illness. Core functions include direct counselling services to families, consultation and training services to professionals and research on family adjustment to ABI.

Mental Illness and ABI
CBDATS aims to provide a supportive, flexible and responsive service which is sensitive to the needs of its patients. We provide a high standard of support and consultation within the rehabilitation process, with the view to promoting the brain disordered person's most adaptive level of functioning, ultimately aiming at integration within the community.
